Hello, I’m Ces a creative business mum.

Lots of my friends are mumpreneurs too and we do what we can to support others. This outlook tends to attract others who share the same principles and

I welcome you to “sb_mums” and invite you to join in the fun!

There are lots of us business mums out there covering many industries. Maybe you are a crafty mum who loves to make beautiful gifts to sell? Maybe you are a virtual assistant or a letting agent or a property investor? Maybe you own a guest house or a bakery or you help people get over phobias and empower them to improve their lives?

If there is a birthday or a wedding coming up I look to my online ‘retail’ friends and know I will find a perfect gift. I would much rather buy from someone I know is a fellow supportive business mum than just buy from the high street or any online retail store that pops up in a search. The same goes for whatever I need to source...

I look to my online network for anything from a hotel to stay at to a photographer to capture one of our Brand Buzz workshops.

So, as I’m always tweeting recommendations and retweeting links for fellow business mums anyway the idea of sb_mums became reality. An open invitation to follow @sb_mums on twitter so we can all benefit from another quick and easy way to get to know and tweet for other lovely mums in business...

Networking Mummies

Laura Morris (left) and Joanne Dewberry (right) started Networking Mummies (Dorset) on the 9th February 2009.

The idea was formed one wet morning at a local toddler group between the two mums who already owned their own businesses.

They both felt that there was no support for local mums in business, who were not only trying to start or run their own business but also juggle family life. Networking Mummies is about supporting each other and recommendations. They recognise the power of word of mouth endorsement, its prevalence amongst the parenting community and the importance of tapping into it to increase sales. By joining forces and sharing skills, knowledge and contacts, they hope to drive business success for all members.

As well as the national online community there are currently local groups in Dorset Hampshire and Warwick. To celebrate their second anniversary on the 9th February 2011 you are invited to become part of the 'bigger picture' as networking mummies launch their Franchise across the UK.
